You are still able to perceive without ascribing emotional states, them move forward along the path to the destination.
I wonder whether the highest practitioners attain a state of permanent ego death.
What a fascinating possibility.

Ego death in itself is an illusion. There is no attaining true ego death. So there is no permanently attaining ego death. -

So being able to live in a permanent state of "ego death" would be no different than living in a state of, say, religious enlightenment. Like a Christian entirely convinced that they're on the lord's path and on the road to heaven. -
