We butchered him the next morning. We ate him, and he tasted wonderful… just sad people do that, extending suffering, and that, it is unfortunate we couldn't raise him to be about 500lbs or so before slaughter so at least he could enjoy some bit of life rather than only know suffering…
I have empathy for all creatures, be they large or small. I have seen animals consume their prey alive. Had hogs get into the goat pasture and eat the babies being born alive. Sick shit. We ate good pork that night. Karma was a bitch to him though… felt bad about him running around with 3 rounds in his head, and 4 to the side, finally a heart shot to taken him down… 4 hours…
that's life. humans are the only ones that waste emotion the way they do -

I can't explain things to you the way I would a normal person. I can't use words that are more advanced than retard-level.
I'll say it again. no chickens exists in a naturally hatched state that do not have beaks or feathers.

Sub_Mod here,
only through careful analysis and tactful verbal ques can you actually reach a person with your argument, an argument isn't proving that you're right and that you win, its strictly to point out that you have an opposing view that is still equally valid. -

Originally posted by Bill Krozby my parents breed parrots, and Guinea fowl, and cockatiels, they never ate them, just bred them and sold them to people and rent them to casinos in Louisiana , my dad even had his own company called "got your beaks"
anyways I guess its a fine line between veganism and what is considered natural. I love animals and grew up around a lot, but some people separate what animal is good to eat and which one shouldn't be.
It's a crazy world we live in. But I'll tell you what when I was a kid and my mom would spoon feed cocketiel babies, It really broke my heart when she was holding one and trying to feed him and he wouldn't eat he croaked and how something so beautiful and delicate twisted its neck in agony and left this world behind. My mom teared up because she loved the baby birds, and it made me feel really sad to see something like that and to see my mom like that. It's stuck with me for years.
Those are some awesome birds man.
How long do they live? -

i think marnie is a parakeet, and Im not sure about that, but my parents had african greys which live pretty long for a boid, like 20 years in the wild but even longer as a pet.
but my favorite bird that they had were parolets, the smallest in the world
the african greys are cool but they are kind of hard asses and would only hang with my mom if you tried to pet her pet one, he would would definitely draw blood.
my parents also had ones that were from the congo and they were so wild you couldn't pet them or hold them, they wouldn't mimic your language, they were strictly for breeding, my dad would make peanut sammiches with seed and just toss it in there. they were crazy as shit.
