I read this comment and thought about what life may be like for them, from their perspective, what occurs in their mind, how they must have been affected after so much time spend untreated in an extremely isolated state devoid of significant stimulation and confined to such a tiny region. It's utterly grotesque and horrifying, absurd in a way due to just how torturous and unimaginable such a life would be to us.

It would absolutely have been just to put him out of his misery, kill/euthanize him instead. It would be immoral not to. Ideally (I'd need to recover and develop enough first, I likely wouldn't make the choice to go through with it in my current state, realistically), if I was there, I would do it as long as I could get away with it, and I'm sure I'm sure I could. 3rd world nations like this have awful law enforcement forces, cops and investigators.

Wrong! It's the acceptance of life, of the world, of what reality, with acceptance for our limitations (We still live our lives as if we know certain things without doubt. Base our views and decisions on the best evidence, data/information, we have.), truly is. Nietzsche did not have a proper understanding of Buddhism.

The original buddhism was a fucking badass and harcore lifestyle. You have idea how long it took, the effort, what they had to learn, practice for so long, discover, the techniques they utilized, what immense positive traits you had to develop, the self-discipline required, refinement of the mind. It radically changes you.

Some time ago I came across a fascinating piece on what renunciation truly is, what it originally meant, and the conflicting viewpoints of various branches. I highly recommend it. If you are interested, before you read it, note that the first sentence is misleading and gives the wrong impression. It doesn't exactly end like that:
Renunciation is the engine for most of Buddhism

What if suicide was determined to be the most rational course of action for all? Would that be a denial of life?

the movement of facial muscles is the original language and even though we only determine meaning through blatant expressions of emotion and words, the same way the vocal cords and muscles of the mouth can in any delicate way change a sound to create a word, there's a syntax and dictionary (mentally) of any miniscule facial muscle contraction or contortion, so simultaneously we are interpreting a verbal and nonverbal language, which is obvious but what isnt realized is that microexpressions are constantly speaking in sentences the same way people speak in sentences and the meanings can clash which results in gut feeling and uncertainty for decisions where textually the same information could be conferred without an accurate psychological profile analysis spoken through facial sentences, autisti*cs lack this ability and schizophrenics hyperfocus on it.

Sploo, are you fucking serious? Did you honestly think this was mind blowing and worth posting.

No, all auti*stics do not lack this ability. They've found that people that no longer met the criteria for aspergers as adults, possibly having received some form of therapy as a child, who were within the range of normality for some behavioral or social measures, still had the brain activity patterns, the neurological differences, of asperger's, their brains were simply hyper compensating. Some people with autis*m can learn via a hyper-systemizing mental strategy, rationally rather than intuitively.

I posted this before and in this test I received around 32-36 on my first try. No, I did not read about facial expressions, how to identify them, or look up pictures before it. This is the kind of idiotic thing you would do while denying it had any impact on the validity of the test (Nuh uh, there's nothing wrong with reading excessively about IQ tests and taking a multitude of variants, repeating some countless times. The tests I take aren't affected by that and I got 155 my first try on a special one once on the same site that accepted my IQ test!): http://socialintelligence.labinthewild.org/mite/

There are people on the autis*m spectrum who can read faces, emotions, extremely well.

Are you also stupid enough to believe that it's impossible for people on the spectrum to develop normal or above average social skills? To be socially successful, come off as normal, have a large social group and be popular? Or that they don't have/experience empathy?

The strength of nearly every single trait and symptom can vary widely in people with ASD, and of course not everyone has every trait or symptom.

Alexithymia is also correlated with a significant percentage of the population, as well as having a high comorbidity with ASD, but not all have it. People with Alexithymia, regardless of ASD, also have a high deficit with facial analyzation.

People with autis*m look at faces, particularly the eyes, with far less frequency and for a shorter period of time, on average or generally, relative to neurotypicals. Of course this is going to affect the rating, a measure, of how accurately they identify/read emotions.

It's explained by my stream of consciousness overview of the core neurological aspects of aspergers here: https://niggasin.space/thread/2899?p=134#post-159599

Social behavior impact of serotonin, GABA and anxiety, the amygdala, and the sensory hypersensitivity. The world is too intense. Throughout the animal kingdom the standard is for eye contact to be threatening, and this is the experience of (most) people with ASD. You should understand or be able to figure out how the above factors should influence this, along with synergistic factors. There are other factors as well, that all primarily function via the aspects I wrote about. For example, it's normal for people to look away while thinking during a conversation due to the impact of eye contact. Due to our evolutionary history there has been great reliance on reading facial expressions, to the point where the amount of cognition devoted to it is actually detrimental when needing to engage thought/reflection. The increased neurological activity and sensory-hypersensitivity of ASD would increase this effect. People with ASD also spend more time in thought due to increased neurological activity, it having been found that people with ASD have 40% increased activity at rest relative to neurotypicals, and lower levels of sociability and time spent interacting with others causing a conditioning effect on their behavior. There are also the perceptual differences in ASD and how visual hypersensitivity, disparities in the visual cortex, in the field of view and accuracy of peripheral vision, and visual acuity, all affect the behavior of where they place their gaze, the movement patterns, and their preference for relying on peripheral vision.

The role of alexithymia in reduced eye-fixation in Auti*sm Spectrum Conditions.

Alexithymia, not autis*m, predicts poor recognition of emotional facial expressions.

Empathic brain responses in insula are modulated by levels of alexithymia but not auti*sm.

  10. being able to pick up on what i called "blatant emotional expressions" is not the same as incorporating this into a subconscious nonverbal language system, which autistic people lack. think of it like a toddler can know the words "the" "and" "but" and some of the most prominent language operators without having structural complexity.

and then my point is if subconscious nonverbal language is purposely practiced and trained as by raising this to conscious awareness and constant application it is like mastering the nonverbal language while everyone else is stuck on their intuitions.

actors do this but i dont know if they do it methodically/systematically or just on impulse, and they may not have the same ability to read the same microexpressions in other people.

btw saying you can significantly (slightly is of course possible, there's a learning curve that plateaus) increase intelligence scores by practicing would be the same as saying you can significantly increase your intelligence by practicing, since besides the low-complexity variants which tend to be redundant, it is literally assessing pure processing load, you can't improve processing load without literally upgrading the CPU.

  11. think of it like your head is a room and analyzing every miniscule behavior of another person is like a guitar, you might pick up the guitar to strum it but you can also dedicate time to becoming amazing at it. but in this case you're (well me) the only person who knows the guitar exists, so you have an inherent advantage. CPU is attempting facial analysis which could lead to rudimentary mindreading but its still eons behind what we can do naturally, and taking the nature we have and fertilizing it is called ASCENSION, or evolution. mentalists might work on this, so do fortune tellers, so does basically everyone to some extent or another, but it's never been developed into a defined art or field of study. and although autistic people could theoretically train this, they would have impaired learning for it and it would take them longer

I checked out /gif/ now for the first time. I saw a VR porn thread, which amused me.

Being in virtual reality, on 4chan, to find virtual reality porn clips.

    Now that's living.

The uncontrollable and destructive nature of technology Kaczynski predicted is manifesting! The complacency of the common man, his placation, will lead to technological slavery! The state will expand its powers and doom us all to subservience!

Life denial is exactly the attitude that you can just rationalize your way out of fundamentally subjective issues and then export that as received wisdom to others. Like a bunch of long dead cultists looked around and found the world they arrived in wanting, you read some glosses on glosses on that, and now you know about living? The very notion that you can look at existence and say "not good enough to be worth investing myself in" (a question to which a negative answer is tantamount to renunciation) is predicated on the idea that there is some sufficiency criterion out there that's not being measured up to, it's self delusion. It's denial of the basic fact that you find yourself here and have no privileged vantage from which to assess your world, buddhism is an attempt to lift one's self up my one's own collar, doomed from the start.

Man, I'm pumped on some Heidegger right now. Fascism, woo!
