2017-07-04 at 11:11 AM UTCI have seen private porn of friends but never anything on a pornsite.
I'm an amateur porn actor, too. Nobody has ever brought it up to me. I feel like that's weird because in the beginning I was kinda scared that it would spread among my friends family and co-workers but I've done about 20 videos and nothing.
I'm not "that porn guy" which I thought would happen within a short period of time. -

2017-07-04 at 11:16 AM UTCI fucking hope so. I thought it would be a great way to advertise myself to the other gender.

So like the collision of birthdays and people knowing each other who are watching/making porn should probably obey a similar principal. Also it seems pretty easy to make a joke in the context of porn using the phrase "birthday problem" so it would work on two levels, but then you have to type this shitty pedantic wankery out and it becomes unfunny again.

But where's the joke? That's what irritates me sometimes about all those "engineering nerd science chemistry jokes". People forget that there actually needs to be some sort of punchline. Simply making a reference to something scientific makes it look like you are just trying to make sure everyone knows that you know something. -

I don't know, I didn't think it out that far, I said it was a good setup for a joke. Let's see...
"what do you call it when you find a highschool girl you think you know in a porn video?"
"the birthday problem"
IDK, like I said, it was a doomed joke from the start since it was going to require explanation. Don't really want to invest the effort to generate the actual punchline. Multiple posts explaining it however, that's my shit. -

That's a funny turn of phrase, "other gender". In american English I've heard "opposite gender" far more often, I think it's the phrase most native speakers would choose. Funny that the language encodes genders as being "opposite" like with the implication opposition involves. I guess lacking a first class neuter gender in the grammar it would kinda make sense. Tell us RisiR, how would that sentence be rendered in German? I know how much you love talking about language. -

Wat?
In German the sentence would be "Ich dachte es wäre ein großartiger Weg mich dem anderen Geschlecht anzupreisen."
I wouldn't phrase it that way, though. I slang hard as fuck.
We also call females "Das schwächere Geschlecht" - "The weaker gender" or "Das schöne Geschlecht" -"The beautiful gender".
That should show you how deep seeded our non-cuckness and non-faggotry is. Bitches ain't shit and beautiful dudes... pff, fuck. We don't even talk about that shit. -
2017-07-04 at 10:57 PM UTCI don't ever hear anyone say 'other gender' or 'opposite gender' in any non-technical type of conversation. They just say guys or girls. I would phrase the sentence, "I thought it would be a great way to advertise myself to the (optional insertion of colorful adjective) ladies."
