2017-07-01 at 4:31 PM UTCI don't listen to rap really but I found this group...they are white rappers 😕 but if you can get past that they sound like bone thugs/3 6 mafia used to.
But with rap anybody can get famous now. Put out a 2 min video on youtube with a nice beat and some catchy lyrics and you are famous. They are even forced to play you on the radio at a certain point between the 10 back to back Drake songs.
Why is "white music" still controlled? Rock is shit. Country is shit x10. There has to be some new band on youtube putting out some Marilyn Manson Mechanical Animals sounding stuff. -

their whole schtick of over the top darkness just gets old af, and their beats just try to go hella hard to make up for their lack of content. i agree it can be lame af when white people try to rap if they're just copying generic black shit, especially if they do it particularly shittily. i think if they do their own style though its fine. -

That's all rap music today. Most of the popular ones came from the internet. Their lyrics completely suck. And i think a lot of times they become popular just based on the gimmick of how stupid they sound and how bad they are.
But it's like business people can't separate it anymore. There really is no underground rap. If you make rap that people who like rap want to hear you will get famous. That or have rappers you don't like on twitter killed.
On rock stations it's like it has always been. -
