I mean I'm not a biologist but I remember taking cooking classes that the instructor told us that olive oil and corn oils were considered bacteria retardant, and separate conversation that frying food preserves meats from going bad. It kind of makes sense. When you smoke food it preserves it as well. Which is why Infinity eating brisk pulled pork didn't make him sick since it's placed in a smoker for hours before served. -

I don't know much about preservation, but from google-Smoke adds flavor, and is both an antimicrobial and antioxidant, but since it does not actually penetrate far into meat or fish is insufficient alone for preserving food; it is thus typically combined with salt-curing or drying.
Looks like you're right about the oil, but if that's the case then surely something which is properly fried wouldn't last as long since it has less oil?

Dude I made it clear I don't know.. I'm just making a connection between frying foods to preserve them or smoking meat to preserve them. The Native Americans smoked deer meat to keep for the winters.. (like Beef Jerky)
but it's just an average guy's guess. -

that...and i believe peoples digestive systems can be 'trained' or hardened to eating foods that would make other people sick. I read something about how homeless people in certain countries would dig through trash and eat food that had obviously spoiled yet that was their only source of nutrition. I regularly eat a protein drink which partially consists of milk and eggs that sits in the hot florida sun for most of the day yet I dont get sick even when I drink it after it gets the 'fermentation' taste. I also regularly eat and drink foods that are starting to get a definite 'spoiled' smell/taste...including a few weeks ago using parmensan cheese (the shredded kind...not the shit that comes in a salt-shaker like container) that had a layer of greenish mold on it. There have been many instances of me eating food at a communal meal situation where several others ate the same things I did and caught food poisoning yet I didnt. -

There might be some truth to what he is saying. some of my family members lived on a Farm up in the Dakotas and their fridge went out but for about a few summers they just stored stuff in a cellar. eggs sat there for a month or so.
I'v never seen her that sick before. I would get sick lots.. until I got food poisoning a few times. I haven't got food poisoning since. not to the point of having to see a doctor. it could happen again but I think getting it might help you out over time.
Last time I got hell of sick was from a cookie I bought at ToGo sandwhich shop. the sandwhich was fine, but the cookie stuck and I kept burping it up for several days. can't say for sure, but I might of got botulism or some other rank shit from it.
ToGos is still a great sandwhich shop.. I still go there. I just don't buy their deserts much. -
2017-07-20 at 1:15 AM UTCIt's only bad to eat if it makes you gag when you smell it. You can scrape off mold and be fine.
