But what did you think of my outfit? I was trying to channel comfortable in my feminity while being a feminist. Should I have worn nail polish? Too much modesty is a bad thing; I'm aiming for that fine line. Was it too modest? Was the style outdated or okay for nowadays?

The shoes were mary jane Docs style, cuteness embodied but also practical for stomping.

It was fine. If we overthink these things we are letting them win and steal time and effort we could have spent on better things. Just be yourself.

It's a trifle for me, because pink dresses can be seen as girly, and woolen ones were what Victorian housewives wore in the mornings. Did I manage to come across as intimidating while wearing this? That's what matters.

What I aim for is to embrace the girly and maintain my intimidation.

I guess you can say she has an axe to grind with this community

I think your logic is sound. Whats most important is how you carry yourself. And that you like what you are wearing so you can be confident.

It is a challenge to dress the perfect way as a woman. Men respect women who dress more masculine but also mock them for it or direct aggression. They desire women who dress feminine but don't take them seriously. You can't win, but I will still try.

I’ve found in the work place heeled boots, jeans, and nice tops/a blazer achieves this and toe the line well.

I would axe you how you're doing

I just wish I could dress in a way so people wouldn't make assumptions. It was only in a lesbian relationship that I felt comfortable wearing lolita dresses and frills, because I knew she wouldn't make assumptions about who I am. And if I dress masculine people assume I'm a dyke when I'm not, I hate aggression whether it comes from men or women.

Until people stop making sexist assumptions all my outfit choices will be calculated.

I like to have sex with women in dresses in public. Does that make me a bad person or a very horny man at the supermarket

The hard truth is men want modest women as well as whores.

When they cheat it's with someone the exact opposite of who they're with.

What I want, is to embrace my feminity and not be mocked for it. So I need to come across as intimidating when I wear dresses.

Its like legally blonde. She isn't taken seriously in law school because she likes wearing a lot of pink, but still men insist women should dress like that, more feminine. WTF are women supposed to make of that? You get rid of sexism then you'll have women wearing more frills, this is all your fault men. It's your fault I can't be beautiful when being beautiful means I can't be taken seriously.
