i believe if it was an intentional detonation for the purpose of terrorism the person involved in setting up the explosives with improvised fireworks wouldnt have forgotten about the main ingredient of all IEDs;

probably, coroner's office is just reporting 'self inflicted gunshot to head'.
the body was burnt and disfigured so much that it was unrecognisable but he brought his military ID to a 'terror attack' and that somehow came out of it unscathed. surprised it wasn't a passport this time. -
