How well do they work for stimming? I recall that a long time ago you said you thought you had a mild form of ADD but just managed it well. You also stated in response to something I posted directed at you about autsim that while reading it you thought that yeah, those sounded like things you would do if you weren't socially aware of how others would perceive you and didn't subdue that behavior. Referring to the stimming behavior people on the spectrum can have, mild forms generally in people with aspergers or even nothing above that displayed by an average person. Even just clicking a pen or tapping a desk can be considered a stim if done excessively. It doesn't guarantee you have ASD or ADD.

probably depends on the person; most people with that compulsion always try to 'stim' in the same way, ie. rocking, flapping hands etc.
I think for most people it's more in line with restlessness - keeping hands busy allows them to focus without being interrupted by the sensation -

It's not a bad thing that you're probably the youngest user of this site. It's just most of us well..a good portion of us have been around since the Totse days...which closed in the summer of 2009 I believe so that's about 8 years a ton of us have under our belt. -
