Theoretically, the best way to steal would be to buy a high-priced item, then return later in the day and pick up the exact same item and take it to the service desk for a full refund+tax. The only way they could nail you is if the LP specifically watched you pick it up off the floor. In any case, you have a receipt for the item. Video evidence would be a problem, but not insurmountable. There's always going to be an element of risk. The trick would be minimizing that risk to the smallest percentage possible. The chances of LP seeing you pick up the item seconds after entering the store are very slim.
