Going to build a coil gun that is also a megawatt range uv laser + plasma rifle. I want to test firing high velocity ordinance from it using the plasma channel as a means of increasing velocity.
Fit it with galfenol or other magnetostrictive to amplify an emp stored in the rifle as a piezo stack like the army's rifle attachment.
So it can double as a reusable directional emp.
Also by spinning the projectiles at high velocity before firing the velocity on firing becomes significantly greater and there's a few ways to amplify that effect too using high voltage.
It can also double as an electrolaser
Best of all cheap and simple to build for the average hobbyist

Put a cheap super telephoto lense and and radio telescope on it. Infrared laser for long range night vision. Can get skull resonant frequencies with the radio telescope also, and use that to fry brains or cause confusion remotely.
