This is the correct answer to the question of the thread titled "What happens if you drop a pen on the moon? (80% of Americans don't know the correct answer to this question)"

sorry for the late response, I just realized I never posted an answer to the question. You can't drop a pen on the moon because you are in space

What's even more laughable is the idiots who think a rocket engine would work in space. Newtons Third Law states: "If object A exerts a force on object B, object B also exerts an equal and opposite force on object A." In other words, forces result from interactions. In space, there's no Object B (atmosphere) for Object A (the rocket exhaust) to push against to achieve propulsion. It would be like trying to drive a boat down a river with no water in it; the motor's propeller would turn, but it would have no water to push against. The boat would remain stationary. All these clowns do is lie, lie, lie, while they suck up trillions in taxpayer dollars. The "Moon landing" is one of the greatest hoaxes of all time. It would take at least 20 inches of lead shielding to get through the Van Allen radiation belt, or you'd be fried like an egg within minutes. Once you got to the Moon, it would be over 250F. And then when you went to leave the Moon, you wouldn't be able to create any propulsion to take off, much less navigate all the way back to Earth.

    The moon has gravity.
  8. #8
Any large object creates gravity, through attraction, but the Moon only has a gravity of 1.62 m/sΒ². In those videos, the items were dropping much faster than 1.62 m/sΒ². Earth's gravity is 9.807 m/sΒ², and that's how fast they were dropping. It's all fake. They're just in near-Earth orbit, not even close to space.

And how do you think the atmosphere stays on the surface of the planet? Wouldn't the air just fall out into space? Of course it would. The only way you can contain air is with a container. Therefore, there MUST be a firmament holding it all in against the Earth. And since there must be a firmament, that means modern man has never reached outer space. Somehow, the ancients figured out how to get through the firmament, or they had the help of aliens, because there is in fact bases on the Moon. Research "the time before the Moon", written about in ancient documents throughout the world. The Moon wasn't always there. It was somehow towed in several thousand years ago. It's some kind of monitoring station. A giant satellite locked on Earth, made to look like a moon.

damn bro you're kinda getting senile

    I will explain this

So you have a chemical explosion, which creates an expelling force. Because this force is contained (imagine a U shape) the expansion creates a propulsion mechanism as the pressure goes out the opening pushing the U forward. THis utilizes newtons third law and is referred to as thrust.

YOur example of a boat motor and water is retarded as the boat is using a mechanical power system to move through a substance and the otehr uses a chemical propulsion very similar to a gun

Don't be foolish. Expansion in space won't get you propulsion, because what you are expanding has nothing to push against.

Take a battery-powered fan and tie it facing forward onto a skateboard. Then attach a sail to the skateboard in front of the fan. Turn the fan on and get on. Would you move forward?
