israel's about to enact a nationwide state of emergency from the look of it, documents have been drafted and it's being discussed by the Knesset/war council

    dont worry.

theyre going to bomb lebanon into gaza and thats going to take about 2 months, and by then trump would be president again and i guarantee you the things he would do to appease the judes would shock you.

Also real life is not a hollywood spy movie

it's literally happened multiple times in the past; just because things are technically possible doesn't magically make them practical or the people doing them competent

Hezbullah is not Hamas, who they still haven't managed to beat.

they can continue to attack population centres in an attempt to use public suffering against Hez but so far domestically it's just solidified support, 'Nasrallah was right about the J*ws'. international support (UN specifically) for israel is at an all time low thanks to their dangerous retard behaviour but it's unlikely this will translate to concrete effects since their existence depends primarily on Uncle Shmuel, who probably won't ever escape their thrall.

given their extensive tunnel and bunker system it's unlikely these raids will have much direct military effect on Hez, there would need to be a ground invasion to attempt to clear them, which is where Hez has the most significant advantage.

direct Iranian participation is a wild card; they want to hold off as long as possible but they cannot let Hez fail (unlikely) or appear not to care about civilian suffering as a the backbone of the 'resistance.

i;m not saying that is how they will win the war with the hezzys, what i was saying is that is how their MO will be in their war with the hezzys.

it will be a repeat of gaza playbook and game plan but on a much larger scale.

their MO it seems to me involve bombing the entire city to ruins before going in. sure the hezzies arent hamases but it seems to me like the IDF is doing a rerun of gaza here. not much they can do because going into a city center without first demolishing it would entail higher casualty as tall buildings provide more possible ambush points.

a building may provides hundreds of sniper points, a pile of rubble may provide only a dozen, i dont see how else they could defeat the hezzys and i dont think they know how to either but their defense minister was threatened with termination if he doesnt do an invasion.

and the only reason i think he stayed on instead of defying the isreali leadership and quit is for harm reduction purposes, trying to minimize IDF dead and casualty in this new invasion.

Hez fired a 'large ballistic missile' at Tel Aviv but apparently gave israel a warning beforehand as over a million people were moved to shelters and the ARROW complex intercepted it early.

it's not clear what the actual missile model was but it was a demonstration that the capital is not safe, and the IDF estimates that Hez has around 5,000 missiles of a similar specification.

it was a QADER-1 Iranian anti shipping missile and the target was Mossad headquarters.

maybe I was wrong about it being a warning, but it seems strange to fire just one missile (it was not a part of a bigger salvo) and for the evacuations to have started so quickly.

IDF went on high alert in northern israel last night (or the night before?) because there was a suspected Hezbullah incursion, but it turns out it was just a pack of wild boars trashing shit.

Apparently boars have always been a problem in the area, but the combination of weapons fire and forest fires destroying their habitat, the people who usually cull them being preoccupied and conservation policies have driven them south to the point where they're overrunning towns and settlements

    more generally -

the US naval refueler 'Big Horn' has been severely damaged but the official report is that it ran aground
israeli cabinet has authorised ground operations in Lebanon but there's no timeframe on it
South Lebanon is mostly evacuated as israel continues to saturation bomb it
Hezbullah's slowed down on the missile salvos but continues to target military bases and ammunition depots
Iraq blasted the naval base at Eilat, three SHAHED drones were sent, two were intercepted
Netenyahu presents a ceasefire agreement effectively telling Lebanon to 'dismantle Hezbullah and pull back beyond the Litani and we'll stop bombing you', Lebanon responds with 'lol no'
reports that 40,000 volunteers from various Middle-Eastern and European countries are being staged in Syria (though I've seen no media or confirmation), israel conducting new missile attacks on Syria lends credence to it

was actually the Hez variant of the first-gen Fateh-110; there's always confusion with these because Hez, Yemen etc. always come up with their own names, and in this case the name was extremely similar to a different line of Iranian missiles (Qadr vs. Qader).
