When I asked you what penguins contributed, all you had was "they are part of the food chain".

Thus, you would rather be eaten.

Well no you didn't ask me what penguins contributed...you asked me what they did better, that's not the same question.

You'll find being part of the food chain IS a huge contribution to the rest of life on Earth though.

My personal feelings as to if I'd want to be eaten or not has no bearing on the value (or lack thereof) of a species' contributions (or again lack thereof) to the rest of life on Earth.

Penguins also do not destroy habitats or fill the oceans with microplastics and mercury etc.

Don't worry, the trash is taking itself out.

You're making a distinction where there apparently isn't one.

    Humans are natural.

Since humans are natural, saying the trash is taking itself out is not very distinct from saying nature is taking the trash out.

Well yes it is, a planet killing asteroid for example would "take the trash out" without the "trash" being involved in it's removal....planet killing asteroids are part of natural universe too.

Same could go for a virus or other natural disaster.

    Planet killing asteroids are hypothetical.

Climate change accelerated by human activity is our reality.

Planet killing asteroid probably isn't the correct term...as anything large enough to destroy a planet would be a planet or planetoid itself...that's semantics though.

Asteroids large enough that could kill off humans at least are not hypothetical though....a natural disaster that humans wouldn't have any involvement with...then as mentioned a new virus could come along that could render humans extinct...both these things have happened to other species and are not hypothetical.

At least you're not denying reality.

The reality is that humans are as you say "trash" and need to go, either by their own hand or by external natural causes.

I was only using your terminology. I don't agree with your statement.

I understand most humans such as yourself find it difficult to separate yourself from being emotionally involved with the question of if your species is worthy of life when it is a bane to near all other life.

Fear not, you are surrounded by similar weak minded humans who cannot do that either.

Your mistake is in believing that any life "deserves" to exist or "needs" to be taken out. The world is the way it is, and there is no way it "should" be.

Um your mistake is in saying suggesting I think any life "deserves" to exist at all...I've never said any such thing

My feelings on that would be quite the opposite in fact.
