I tried to find my recent post about Elon & Trump but I can't find it. I searched 'elon Trump' and some interesting results came up. Mostly recent results and then a massive gap where it slows down into only being mentioned together every few months, and now it's every other day. Very interesting.

    The Trump/Elon connection is real

Elon is "the only game in town" since the USA no longer launches rockets out of Russia and NASA sure as hell isn't gonna do all that which leaves only one man. It's not a conspiracy, just simple economics.

BUT ELONS LITERALLY A WELFARE QUEEN HE GETS GOVERNMENT FUNDING HE'S ACTUALLY POOR LIKE DONALD TRUMP JHURRRURRRRRRRR

I'm not familiar with the case, and don't want to be, but in general with GDPR it's all about personally identifiable information. Once data is anonymised so it can't be traced back to an individual you can do with it whatever you want. This is a practical necessity, because otherwise even counting how many users your site has would be impossible.

Just went to Myrotvorets, they have gore porn right up there on the front page. The Ukrainian government always was bizarre and weird, but that's just unbelievable. Literally no other country has ever done that sort of stuff.

It’s unlikely to be successful, like soy said partial or aggregate data that can’t be used to identify users is permitted. E.g. I remember the case that established ip addresses aren’t personal info unless you also have subscriber info that would allow translating those addresses into subscriber names. I don’t see a bag of model weights measuring up to that bar. Always possible the court just decides that it hates AI I guess, but it seems doubtful.

Could decide they just hate Musk. The establishment here have been using him as an Emmanuel Goldstein as of late.

I haven't bothered to read much about this in particular but I suspect the question is about the raw input data rather than just the model weights, and historically 'anonymised' data has been relatively easy to deanonymise if you have other external datapoints to link it to.

like how the Heritage Foundation was able to datamine Crooks - they apparently went to a mobile ad databroker and had them run a search for AD IDs that spent a lot of time at Crooks' home and work/school addresses, so even though there was no personal information in the advertising data they were fairly reliably able to link the 'anonymised' dataset to him.

I just realised the main reason I hate him is because he's uncivil, all the other reasons are valid but that's the main one.

We need a return to not being able to address people unless you've had a formal introduction. Polite people shouldn't have to entertain people like Musk.

There is nothing polite about a man who goes online pretending to be a woman.

There must be an evo-psych reason why women hate high status men who don't pay them attention.

In the past that would have been an interpersonal thing, but now it's electronically transmitted mass-hysteria.

Musk is also suing OpenAI again for saying they would be not for profit and then turning into a for profit company.
