I would move to Reno area because its half the distance than LA is. its only 200 miles away. our state is very narrow and a lot of people say Reno is an Extension of San Francisco Bay Area. there is nothing but a few small mountain towns and a shitload of mountains between the two Metro regions (Outside of Stockton/Sacramento)
But its like a Conservative County more than Liberal or less Libtard far left live in Reno.
Its a nice area and a short distant escape.
Downside is commuting to the bay area can be an entire day and sleeping in your car if they close roads due to snow levels.
