I've lived and worked in NYC an indian reservation in Montana, Las Vegas, Ihio, Dallas, the outer banks if NC, Greensboro, Detroit, Tampa, and small towns across the US to numerous to list.
You on the other hand have no experience outside your urban box.

I spent time with friends in NYC and NJ area in my mid teens. I spent time in the South and My father lived in the Midwest.

Friend of Fam was from the PA area and spent time with his family. I'v been to both Pittsburgh and Philly and stayed in Va and West Va as well when I was a teen. then up to Badestha Maryland and then up to New Bedford Ma in my mid teens. Played Duck Pin Bowling (which they don't have on the West coast when I was growing up). pretty fun version of bowling.
Been all over the west coast. Seattle, Portland etc etc as a kid.
also remember going to the Whale Museum in New Bedford in my mid teens
Been all over Texas. from El Paso to Houston (never got to go to Dallas). Stayed a week in Austin. Had an Aunt and Uncle in Corpus Christi because my Uncle worked on a rig.
I said I never been outside of the USA and honestly I have no interest in traveling in this day and age. Culture no longer exists. at least in Europe. -

I seemed to have a nack for it for a city boy. and we do obviously have farms and ranches in California. it doesn't make it any different just because it's not landlocked like flyover states.
same kind of farms. same type of cattle. same chicken and Horsies. and in this day and age it doesn't matter because everything is a fucking carbon copy of everyone else. You got to NYC now and no one has an East Coast accent or a pocketed neighborhood accent anymore except older people or those in the Bronx.
or the deep south which is exaggerated. silly as fuck. nothing more than a Cos-Play for adults -

People still have regional accents. You operate on your own preconceived notions as if they are facts which are plain for all to see. Thr fact is the world is nothing close to what your narrow stereotypic notions fause you misperceive.

I based that off of how it sank in as a teenager visiting the East Coast and how most people had a wonderful NYC or Boston area (New England) accent as thick as JFK had. And in NYC it was very present. when I went back in 2019, many of the people sounded like they do on the west coast. only a small handful of People we interacted with had an accent (the waitress who was from The Bronx, Some guys out in Brooklyn when I stayed a few nights in Williamsburg on my own and visited Flatbush. nothing really. a couple older people. they told me most people lost it on purpose like they were ashamed of being made fun of).
even in the deep south in large cities people take classes to lose it. like they're ashamed of it. I didn't just make this shit up in my head. I was fascinated by the fact it no longer exists. change is constant. -

I have a video of walking by Trump's Tower and a bunch of Mexicans protesting him for not paying some Hispanics over some Fountain. it was a big thing back then and he just announced running for President around that time
