2024-07-23 at 2:08 PM UTCThere's really only one scene that stuck out to me, but I wont spoil it for you. Like I said it was ok but I feel it was a wasted opportunity as far as what they could have done with the idea.

I still use Usenet. It is almost as old as FTP and is still the best for all your pirating requirements. And the speed through a decent Usenet provider is unparalleled. Giganews is awesome with 5 years retention, no speed cap, and plans starting for less than $9.00/month. -

don't you need a compiler ap to assemble the files? -

I'll have to disagree with that...nothing simpler than logging onto a private torrent site, using the search, making your selection and walking away. Speed is rarely an issue, maybe for something obscure but with a 1Gb connection a movie downloads in seconds and no pissing around with uuencode type shit (which granted may have changed in the 20+ years since I last had use of it).
I only use private torrent sites and trackers, not the public ones. -
2024-07-23 at 9:43 PM UTCYeah, quality control on a decent private tracker is pretty solid. It makes uploading a bit of a pain sometimes, but the fact that each upload is generally checked by a human is nice, no downloading some shitty camcorder rip or something.

The size of the file is generally a give away tho

Newsbot software has replaced all the old school command line drudgery since the late 90's lol. -
