   amphetamine is easy, it's made like meth but slightly different. I think the medical grade stuff is 100% dextro amphetamine which is made different than "street grade" because it's optically pure but it's pretty simple to make optically pure drugs i.e 100% D-meth from ephedrine reduction vs 50% d-l meth from p2p

When the violence of the reaction has diminished, the mixture is refluxed with vigorous stirring for about 2 hr, concentrated in vacuo to 200 ml and poured into ice water, alkalinized with 120 g KOH, and extracted with ether. The extractions are treated with 20% HCl, the resulting water layer alkalinized and extracted with 150 ml ether. The organic layer is dried over Na2SO4, the ether evaporated, and the residue distilled in vacuo. Yield: 12.5 g (30%).
   
   Preparation of amphetamine sulfate yielded 96-98% product with a purity of 99.2-99.8% (USP grade).

   Preparation of Levothyroxine Sodium
   RBF was charged with 1000 ml of n-Butanol and 100 gms of Levothyroxine, cooled the contents to 5° C. and charged with 10 ml of concentrated sulphuric acid to get clear solution. The reaction mixture was enhancemented through 0.45 micron membrane enhancement and the filtrate was purged with ammonia gas to attain pH 8. The mixture was then heated to 60-65° C. and maintained for 1 hr at 60-65° C., followed by cooling to 40-45° C. and filtration at 45° C. The filtrate was then washed with 200 ml of hot n-Butanol. The wet cake is then charged with 250 ml of 1.5% aqueous Sodium hydroxide solution at 25-30° C. (pH maintained at 10), Followed by Slow addition of 800 ml of 1-propanol over a period of 10-15 min at 25-30° C., heated to 60-65° C. and maintained for 1 hour. Further the reaction mixture is cooled to 25-30° C. and maintained for 1 hour, enhancemented and washed with 100 ml of 1-propanol followed by vacuum drying at 45-50° C. for 12-15 hrs to get 85 gms of pure Levothyroxine sodium of 78-83% yield.

   
   I don't know anything about "Levothyroxine sodium" does it say SODIUM on the bottle? That might be the only salt form ...just checked.. HTS is on levo I checked her bottle it says NA which means SODUIM i.e NaCl = Salt so YES YOU !!MUST !!!MAKE THE SODIUM SALT

   I rate part 2 (the sodium salt) somewhere around a 7-8 in difficulty. Molten 1-proponal sounds kinda sketch, and n-butanol is not easily available generally but if you can figure those out it's pretty simple I can follow this entire reaction and i'm retarded.

   Allylbenzene is a relevant precursor for the synthesis of amphetamines, just like safrole is one of the main precursors for the synthesis of MDMA. Aquiring Allylbenzene can be somewhat tricky, as it is a somewhat watched chemical because many chemical supply companies know what it can be used for. Unlike safrole, allylbenzene does not occur in large amounts in nature, but a chemical relative which does is cinnamaldehyde (3-phenyl-propenal).
   
   The essential oil of cinnamon bark consists of about 90% cinnamaldehyde, and this can be isolated by vacuum distillation (bp 250°C at ordinary pressure). Do not use the oil of cinnamon leaves, because that consists chiefly of eugenol (70-90%). Cinnamaldehyde can also be had by the reduction of cinnamic acid or the oxidation of cinnamyl alcohol.
   
   If we could somehow reduce the aldehyde group of cinnamaldehyde to a methyl group, propenylbenzene would be formed. This cannot be done directly though, but it is possible to condense cinnamaldehyde with para-toluenesulfonylhydrazide to form cinnamaldehyde tosylhydrazone, which in turn can be reduced by sodium borohydride or sodium cyanoborohydride to allylbenzene1. These procedure is described below.
   
   A similar procedure, using bis(benzoyloxy)borane (made in situ from benzoic acid and BH3·THF) as the reducing agent2, boasts a 95% yield (85% isolated) of allylbenzene from cinnamaldehyde tosylhydrazone.
