Read it, then listen to the audiobooks.
Tony Robbins also has a whole bunch of audiobooks/courses on similar themes. Brian Tracy as well.
Which is how to avoid causing offence, how to remember to consider how what you say affects other people, how to remember to say things that make people want to have you around and want to help you.

Brian Tracy is who I'd like to come across as. I say come across as, and not be, cos he's kinda salesmany, he always wants your money, but I like how honest, earnest and grandfatherly he portrays himself as.

:( THanks for all the negative advice everyone. I'm always interested in taking advice even if it's negative and difficult in nature. I believe all of you have my best interest at heart and only say things to me to help build me up better, even if they hurt to hear.
No matter what though I am going to continue working hard to better myself, I mind what I Say, how I say it and try to consider how it will make the other person feel before I say it and that helps a little. It's difficult when I get busy but I think I have good opportunity to work on it right now and to become a better person.

Reflect honestly toward the achieving of real, grounded self-knowledge in contemplation or meditation. Is this person really on your side? Are they saying something that strikes your feeling as sincere, first; and meaningful, second. Really think about the second one. People always offer criticisms freely that have no real meaning and they don't realize that they mean to hurt you. The problem can certainly be something of habit for your personality and you can work on that if you think through the steps of thought processes you've committed that continue along this groove in your judgements, attitudes, and treatment of others. But you should also consider that you have at least one person in your life that will bring you down. Anybody can be poison for anybody, finally. You seem open minded, and for all I know that might be correlated with what your buddy speaks of. Really examine all sides of your existence, if this is such a problem that they said this. You ought to consider that your life does not have the same dimensions in your working model; that is your reality concept might be warped by yourself or worse, by people around you.
I don't know you IRL but you seem like a genuine alright guy, at least as far as people from this place goes lol. Just live what you feel is right in your heart but remember nice guys usually get shit on so sometimes you can't always be that way either.
