there seems to have been a lot of confusion because the roof was cleared but nobody was posted up there when he brought his own ladder and climbed up.
there was a SWAT unit inside that building, so the snipers had trouble clarifying whether the guy on the roof was one of theirs.
that and there were trees between the snipers' position and the shooter, so visibility would have been poor

That picture of him holding his fisgt with the flag behind him and the secret service covering him is pretty much the greatest thing that could've ever happened for his campaign in any possible situation.
All the boistorous monologues for the next four months could not have attained what that one photo did.
YOu literally got 1 old man who looks like he's not all there, can't speak right, forgetting stuff, and confused about his location versus a guy who gets shot and doesn't care.
