Large swaths of South Florida were underwater this week after the sky turned into a firehose that flooded Miami and dumped 10 inches of rain on Fort Lauderdale in a day. It was the worst rainstorm in Fort Lauderdale … since the one in April 2023 that dumped more than 2 feet of rain in a day. That earlier storm did more than $1 billion in damage, and this one probably will, too. Governor Ron DeSantis, who has outlawed talking about climate change, declared a state of emergency in four Florida counties. Flights were canceled and parts of I-95 were closed.

OMG I can't remember the term from my nevironment class like two years ago.
So the polar ice caps melt. The ground that appears is not white, so less ice is there by reflected, so now less sunlight is reflected.
It's not compounding effects but it's similar, how dat make u feelz -

2024-06-14 at 8:15 PM UTCIf you look at the history of hurricanes in Florida, you will clearly see there is no uptick at all occurring, and hurricanes have been a steady and regular happening for the past 150 years. There's no rise on record. What the story is really saying is there are a bunch of partisan hacks pushing a climate change hoax for political purposes. Nothing at all to do with any actual reality.
