This is true. I heard Moly say recently "we humans are social animals, when you put us alone we go insane". Kafka thinks too much. Thinking can be useful if you're trying to solve a problem, but in general it is a bad thing. People should try not to think. -

I agree. Thinking too much ruined me for the worse. It made me "fall in love" with a person (who was outside of my social circle and whose face I didn't even remember) just because we were sharing the same kind of grief. Seven years down the drain, just like that. And some drama here and there. -
2024-05-31 at 12:12 AM UTCPiers Dutton says that autistic people have certain morphological features different, for instance subtly differences in nose and ear placement, and they they are basically the "wild type" of human, not the "domesticated type". As such they relax less, are less immediately social, and suffer from greater anxiety. That sounds pretty dead on.

I've done that too. Getting myself into knots over a girl and being too neurotic and anxious to approach her. Anxiety is something I really suffered with, it sucks.
While I'm worrying and overthinking everything, other people just go up to girls and talk to them without feeling any stress about it whatsoever. -
2024-05-31 at 12:16 AM UTCAnne Sterzinger pointed out on twitter that 50% of non-drinkers lose their virginity below some age, vs 90% of drinkers. Her solution to kids not getting laid - get drunk.

Fake friends are more detrimental to my mental health than isolation is and I'll never be friends with someone who thinks I'm crazy. -
