I do know in interviews she said Dumbledore's supposed to be gay but in the book there's no passage that explicitly states so. I only read the first four books, so I can't say anything about Luna. -

There's a difference between creating subtle allusions to something and shoving something down your throat (or eyes/mind, in this case). That's what the authors of the other two books did that I had to read for college. Stuff about gay sex, talking about patriarchy and feminism, etc. I'm only reading it because I have to, but I wouldn't read it in my free time or anything. I'd have the same reaction if it was a dude writing political stuff.
