And the past few days, I contemplated turning to drugs so I can fall asleep, or going to the doctors and ask if they could hook me up but I have decided against it. Apparently, natural sleep beats chemical sleep. I just have trouble falling asleep. I only need to make sure this happens once a week, guess I will have to find a healthier way to make this happen.

hey MM I got a very similar problem, so I went and bought melaBonin vitamin 5mg. When I have to get up early (7:30am) I just take 2 of them a half hour before bed and I fall asleep really easily and wake up on time. I don't wanna get dependent on them so I don't take them except for nights that I need to be up early the next day.
the drug is non habit forming and is very inexpensive. I paid 10$ for 120 5mg pills.

When I was off everything in jail it was camomile tea at lockup at 7PM and a multivitamin and I'd be out cold before 10 most nights, up at 5AM before the birdies.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I had someone else recommend me melatonin pills as well, earlier today. Maybe I’ll get me some of that. Tonight I only had slept for 2 hours. I woke up at 4:29 am even though I had been trying to fall asleep since 12:15 am and I only managed to sleep after 2:30 am (I checked).

I used to smoke weed when I was in high school but I quit. I also quit cigarettes in 2023. I can relate how awful it is to have to be somewhere while you've been awake for over 24 hours. The main reason I dropped out was because of my insomnia. I just can't stick to a "sleep early, wake up early" routine. I really like that zzzquil stuff, or the way it looks at least. I'll see if I can get that here. Appreciate your input!

I sleep good at night. Just took my 2 melabonin and I lay in bed for a half hour. I only take them before m and w classes. Even when I have appointments other days because like going grocery shopping or to the dentist doesn't require 110% mental acuity
