2024-05-07 at 1:50 PM UTCI had to get pulled out of class at 2pm every thursday and go to the guidance counsellor office with some of the other speds. We did shit like painting our feelings, interpretive dance, free jazz and such. It felt more like "me and the boys" would just get to leave and fuck around for the rest of the day, we took our time going there and back and would hit up the vending machines and go back to class late like "sorry teach, I was in the retard room, don't mind me"
In a weird way even though it worked, we were troubled kids that just wanted to throw rocks at windows it kept us in the school and we would go back to class and behave for the rest of the day and chill out and not get in trouble over longer periods of time. -

Lol I was gonna say "yes I was one of THOSE KIDS" nah I just hung out with them and I was troubled and got put in detention a lot for my anti social behavior and my punishment eventually became being put into the same programs as the retards and treated the same as them. I think they just wanted to get me away from normal kids because I got along with retards.
As soon as I went into highschool they had to separate the ACTUAL retards with mental development disorders from the "bad kids" all graduating from multiple schools. Some of my friends ended up in the retard class, and holy shit were they retarded like actual special ed with social workers in the class and people pooping themselves.
We never had a class like that in Jr. High they just got social workers to sit with "those kids" in the class. idk, there were different degrees of it. I only showed up 50 days in an entire school year once and when I was there I would get into fights and almost got arrested for a knife once so they had no idea how to handle me. -
