If you do get the storebought stuff just make sure it's 100% fresh. I must admit, I eased into it and did that my first few days. But it's more expensive, and if you prepare the produce a few days ahead it really isn't more effort than making a regular meal. If you want to start slow, drinking tea can really help you get past the calorie fatigue.

Oh, and I recommend keeping a fasting journal to track your moods and hunger level over time, so that if it has a negative impact you're more likely to get ahead of it.

Anyway thanks for the info, the juicers aren't as expensive as they were last time I looked, but I still probably won't be able to do it for a while unless I just try a water fast again

But really what's wrong with store bought 100% juice?

It is literally just sugar. Don't be gay, just eat the fruit instead of juicing it.

Just keep in mind that any weight you lose doing this is going to come back fast if you don't make some serious changes to your diet. You're better off seeing a nutritionist and coming up with a real plan than you are fasting like this. I know it seems desperate, but taking relatively drastic measures for temporary weight loss isn't going to do you better than seeing a professional whose job is to sort your diet out for you. I don't mean to judge or peddle unwanted advice, just keep tabs on your cause for doing this and ask yourself honestly whether you have the power to do it right. If you aren't doing it for weight loss, whatever, you do you.

It's not really as much of weight loss thing as it is a cleansing/spiritual thing. Last time I did it, it literally forced me to eat vegan because my stomach couldn't handle processed food and that would bring about more permanent healthy diet changes
