Why are they called tree frogs then? they live in the actual tree and crawl up them like spiders with their super duper tentacle suction-cup like feet.

tree frogs live on branches and eat bugs. we have them in California. they were in the park I lived by. they're so cute and tiny and have red markings on their back because they're kind of poisonous so birds leave them the fuck alone.
