   I don't think Jesus as a historical figure is much debated, there isn't really archeological evidence for specific historical figures "BRING ME THE BONES OF JULIUS CAESAR OR HE DIDN"T EXIST!"
   
   The funny part is Muslims essentially believe the new testement, they just don't believe it's canonical, and they call it something else.
