If I was working full time I would spend even more on food for lunches and have to pay for transportation, overall it wouldn't make that much of a difference even if I could suddenly get hired making twice the average wage, it would barely help because everything is too expensive and fucked.
thats because your eating beyond your means.
how much does a 10kg bag of rice cost ?
how much is a bag of beef patty. -

Like $25
i'm still eating my bag from last month
a bag of beef patty? Too much. A pound of ground beef for $5-7. A box of frozen beef burgers for like $20, buns for $3, topping for $3 for enough burgers for 2 days
vs 2 burgers from MCdonalds and a large fries for $20 -
2024-03-26 at 5:09 PM UTCI haven't eaten rice in a week I just eat nothing, smoke a bunch of weed and chug coffee to stave off the hunger pains until I can schedule in a pizza
Mostly because I hate buying groceries and spending money. Can't get shit at the grocery store without spending $50. I grocery shop for canned meat and bread, tuna and ramen at the dollar store and eat that for dinners/lunch all week -

That's a damned lie. I've been cooking your ass dinner and you've been eating it. Pasta. Lots of pasta. Delicious carbohydrates. Yooooouuuuuu shitter. I may be a shitty waifu but I'm not so bad I'd let you starve. I even force you to eat when you're being a retard about food because of the weed and coffee. -

ok, so if rice is costing too much then maybe switch to foods that are produced in north americas.
meat seems to be pretty cheap over there. a pound of ground beef for 5-7 is like rather cheap. -

It's not that rice costs too much it's that I can afford a bag of rice and literally nothing else. Rice remains stable, it lasts even longer when you don't eat it.
I really only use the rice with ground beef and soy sauce. If I can't find ground beef I just won't eat rice, i'll just eat peanut butter or bread. Everything I eat has been posted in this thread and that costs about more than half my monthly income.
I went grocery shopping once this month for coffee. It's not the price of any one thing that breaks me it's the taxes, the shrinkflation, the price of various things going up across, things running out frequently , money being worth less, death by a thousand cuts. I've learned all kinds of budgeting things and have many experience living in poverty and making my own food for as cheap as possible but at some point I don't think it's my budgeting I think it's just a supply issue from a bad economy, if there was more stuff it would be cheaper. -
2024-03-26 at 7:24 PM UTCLet's say you walk into a supermarket and there's a big pile of grapes, so you start eating grapes. Then you go over to this other pile of almonds, so you eat a bunch of almonds. Then you discover a large pile of figs, so you eat a bunch of figs. Now, how is LP going to put a value on the goods eaten if he doesn't know how much it weighed? All he can do is kick you out and ban you. But there's lots more supermarkets out there.

What burgers are you getting, bacon quarter pounders or something?
I get a 6pc nugget and double cheeseburger for 3.19$, and for the drink I just get a "water" cup. If you order on the kiosks here and you get water they just give you an empty cup no questions asked.
Ghost if you want to eat like a king at mcdonald's just dig receipts out of the garbage can and say that they missed an item.
I used to collect receipts from multiple restaurants, then, when I'm out with my homies, and one of my friends wants taco bell, another friend wants mcdonald's, etc. I just give them a receipt from the respective restaurant and they get free food.
Buy your meat in bulk. Sometimes local butcher shops will give huge discounts on almost expired meat, you can get 7-10 lbs of ground beef for like 20-30$
If you are in desperate need for protein, near-expired chicken will probably be the cheapest. sometimes it goes for 25-50 cents a lb.
Also, If you can buy whey protein in bulk your solid. Mix it in with oatmeal and you have a filling meal. -
2024-03-26 at 7:47 PM UTCAnother pro tip - If you want free food, go to a movie theater and get a drink cup and popcorn bucket out of the garbage, then get that sweet, sweet, free refill.

2024-03-26 at 7:56 PM UTCAlso for a cheaper coffee alternative buy bulk caffeine powder.
If you still want to drink hot plant juice, yerba mate might be cheaper, depending where you get it from.

I'm not cutting coffee lol
people have been drinking the shit since the 1800s if suddenly it's economically unviable then I don't give a shit I will just not buy food and drink coffee like I currently do. There is a certain minimum quality of life I expect before I start cannibalizing people and robbing banks, until that point I will go broke smoking weed and eating pizza. I refuse to live off less even if it means i'm broke for the rest of my life.
I'm not gonna eat the bugs like a fucking slave I will find a way to prosper somehow some way even it means giving up a robust diet and eating like shit just so I can GET SOME DRUGS I NEED A HIT
a lot of people in society are willing to scrimp and live off less and oh no our country is shit lets all eat dirt cookies but in the oldje times that's when people would take a boat and import it themselves and shoot the government if they tried to tax it and sell it for cheaper and do it better like economic pirates instead of just letting the system stamp its boot on your back I will cook meth instead of cutting coffee or soemthing idk FUCK THE GOVERNMENT I REFUSE TO CUT COFFEE

Imagine getting even a part time job which would enable you to not have to pinch pennies on gas station food. -
2024-03-27 at 10:47 AM UTCNot a situation I've had to deal with.
Nevertheless most of the meals I eat are of a somewhat frugal and simple nature even though I can cook complex meals well. It's just a matter of convenience. I bulk cook some simple stuff and keep it around and mix and match some of it with freshly cooked stuff.
I make lots of black beans with adobo peppers cuz they kick ass and are delicious and hearty and only get better in the fridge. I keep jars of onion pickles that I make myself. I keep lots of canned tomatoes, corn, beans on hand. Corn can be made in 1 min in the microwave with some seasonings, or just eat it without any heating and it's great. I keep lots of rice on hand too.
So any day I can just go bam bam bam I have fried eggs on brown rice with baked beans and pickled onions, peppers and cilantro and it's tasty AF for example, and I'll maybe through some fried chicken in there or something. -
2024-03-27 at 11:44 AM UTCWhen I'm short on cash I just eat the aborted fetuses out of the dumpster behind Planned Parenthood
