Doubt it. The thin coating of water just does the curing, which is fast. Twenty or so minutes.
water reacts with one of the ingredients in the glue...acting almost like 'hardener' in two-part paints. the wetter it is, the faster and weaker it cures. water is 100% humidity...which will make it dry very fast, very weak, and most likely too fast, causing it to expand/foam/bubble

dude this guys pizza party was way better than mine, he spent 32$ on a single 20 inch pizza which is huge New York style pepperoni, I"m so stuffed adn then I had a yogurt

worked this afternoon got 3 little rooms done and did a pre touchup on the big room,, now i have to go to a different job for the next 3 or 4 days while the flooring guys get the floors done then i can go back and finish up, I should have both jobs done by next friday except the cabinets in the bigger job they wont be in till middle of the month I'm hoping for a big march snow storm so i can ride for a week or two
