It's just ice crystals in the atmosphere. We get it every winter, when the air is cold and the clouds clear. If not for the clouds which always blot out the sun and the moon and the stars, giving us long, dark, miserable, grey, drizzly days, Ireland would have the most spectacular weather on earth. -
