In much much happier news about me, I'm no longer blind. I was using Read Highlighted Text to intermittently post on the forum since September 11th when I was told I have optical nueropathy from drinking. I don't want to make this about me but I guess I will since I still have my narcisstic character traits. Everyone has heard the notion that people can go blind from drinking, there's actually three ways this is achieved;
-Drinking isopropyl or wood grain alcohol.
-Liver failure resulting in jaundice eye toxicity
-Vitamin b1 Thiamine deficiency killing the optic nerve from oxygen depervation (B1 carries the oxygen to the nerve)
Folks the last one is what got me when I proceeded to go from February of 2023 to September 2023 without eating much of anything. To sum up how I was living is to say drunkenly, I was drinking 12-16 tall boys of malt liquor 211 steel reserve everyday and in the morning I would vomit up yellow bile and anything I ate. Once I got drunk I wasn't hungry. The little I did eat wasn't absorbed by my intestines.
I developed a giant blind spot in both eyes at whatever I looked at and required intense light to see anything around me. Carry forward I was finaly urged to go to the baskin palmer eye institution a nationally recognized eye institute for all things optical. I was subjected to an intense 2 day trip where they spent the first day examining my eyes for 14 hours (nothing wrong with them) and then the next day looking for tumors and shit in my brain for 12 hours (nothing wrong). The second day a 200 year old doctor from Japan asked me if I am bulimic, anorexic or an addict that doesn't eat. I said yea dat last one, i need a sammich and a beer every four hours (even in the hospital I had a backpack of brews and they hand out snacks since they charge your insurance so much, the government paid 8,000$ for the first day and 14,000 for the second day I later told Medicare they're responsible for paying)
he said oh no u have optical nueropathy where the otpical nerve died. I didn't go intime to save my right eye which when I close my left eye I can't see about a football size blank spot, but my left eye was only extremely blurry which is how I posted here so much.
I didn't drink from 9/11 (i remember the date because I fucked with the TVs there to get it to stop playing the same 5 minute ad about their facility and play PBS which had only 9/11 terrorist documentaries on the first day, second day I watched ID about killers and shit like I like) to 11/11 which is the anniversary of my first long term girlfriend which gave me severe depression and does every year. I was told that because the brain stops developing in your late teens early 20s that it was irrecoverable, to take vitamins so it doesn't get worse and to get used to it !~!~!~ so I stayed in college that semester and focused on my weed, crack, & meth habits (mostly weed but everythin else semi regularly)
the disease also commonly affects children in the third world countries because b1 is most commonly found in leafy green vegetables so like if you are an orphan you eat whatevers plentiful in your country so like in Asia the orphans only eat rice, in historical ireland they only ate potatos, in South America/Latin America its mostly like root mush i can't remember the name of (kinda like mashed potatos i think it's called YUCCA or some shit) & in africa they eat mostly dirt i think so yeah but if those kids get on a multi vitamin cuz they're still developing their brain they can get well but once you're old it's kinda fucked.
So I started drinking 11/11 and attacked my roommate (domestic violence battery) & then I posted my bail and came home the next day. About a week later my dog (a little scottish terrier named scotty, 9 months old at the time) got attacked by this doberman that wasn't on a leash and I cut the other dog from it's jaw to it's shoulder with my knife
ANIMAL CRUELTY BY USE OF A WEAPON CAUSING GREAT BODILY INJURY OR DEATH
wow that's kinda serious and cuz he had a group of people that all said his dog was on a leash, i just ran up and stabbed it, that his dog didn't do nuffin, I got the book thrown at me :(
nigga they wanted to give me a couple years in prison for this shit,
so I was in jail, the DV got dismissed and I posted my bail again, kept drinking cuz i felt hopeless and had failed fall semester and when I got out of jail I didn't take any of my mental health medication that they always put me on when I'm locked up and my roommate pissed me off when i was drunk and blacked out and I guess I slapped the shit out of him and threatened him witha knife.
:(
So that was aggravated assault with a deadly weapon felony & battery DV
this time they put my bail at 27,000 and I didn't have the 10% to waste bailing out again.
He got the DV aggravated assualt charge dropped so I just had the animal cruelty one
I got 1 year house arrest, I got out wednesday, my vision is good in my left eye again so I did the most sensible thing with my meager 400$. I bought a google chromebook, got into a sober living facility that takes my entire check minus 50 bucks a month to live on for food, & a gaming controller to play Amazon Luna games on for the next year--lol.
My vision came back tho in my left eye perfectly, I take 2 vitamins like the one a day multivitamins but I take two and I can't afford to eat anything other than ramen noodles, everyone forgave me and said I shouldn't have taken the deal they offered but the jail here is fucking terrible like worse than anything I ever experienced in Wisconsin juvie, foster homes, jails and prison. They keep it at 55 degrees so you're so fucking cold my arthritis (that went away in florida) was flarring back up from the conditions.
but i can see out of my left (dominant) eye so it doesn't really bother me much i haven't drank in a month and feel smarter, i'm working back to get into college so i can leave during the day and I have great news
a year of dedicated shit posting awaits yall
