I mean that line of thinking kind of encourages people who throw rubbish into the ocean because it 'disappears' over the horizon doesn't it

I'm watching The Zone of Interest atm and am thinking about the furnishings and how it's so familiar. I grew up with those same doors and my great uncle had the same bathroom, doorhandles etc.

Time is really just one event, not three. The past, the present and the future actually "run" concurrent. So, if you observe the tree fallen, it falls. But if someone else sees the tree fall, it doesn't fall for you, only for that person who sees it fall. If that person tells you the tree fell, then it falls, because you are at that moment then aware it fell. If you were not made aware it fell, or if no one saw it fall and you didn't see it, it would never fall. Not yesterday, today or tomorrow.
