they've been implicated in espionage for decades and are funded to the tune of 2+b euros annually, but refuse to disclose their funding sources.
guy who wrote the article discovered that for minor offenses, the German courts will often order an offender to make a donation to a charity of the prosecutor's choosing. MSF is of course one of their favourites, and German records show that forced donations to MSF are at least in the tens of millions of euros over the past decade.
