   groups of people get the most done when everyone can work totally independently with sufficient progress and then collaborating when they either need to receive or give information or help to their team members. trying to make every single thing a team activity just encourages the weakest or most prone to being lazy team members to drag their feet and slows down your stronger members.
   
   this is objectively true in every scenario and will probably upset many people
