I'd have decent savings (or at least some saings)if I wasn't spending like $400 on drugs and alcohol every month. I'm trying to change that, but the biggest problem is tha I borrow money from my parents when I'm depressed and need a drink and then it's like the $350 I owe by default for rent + $300-$400 in money they lent me the previous month. Plus my cell phone bill and transportation.
Essentially I get $1000 at the beginning of the month, immediately pay my debts, and have like $150 left over to last me 30 days.
It's all my fault. Massive financial mismanagement. I just... I need help. I'm looking for psychiatrists that are covered by my disability program.
Bear in mind: Canada. That "$1000" is like $740 USD, and a fifth of alcohol here costs $25-30 Canadian pesos.

But there's a significantly higher chance that you'll use said cash injection to just amplify your current lifestyle, because the hard limiter on how much cash you blow on drugs and booze isn't your own restraint, buy the amount of money you have. If the government gave you $1100 per month, you'd be spending $500 on drugs and alcohol. If the government gave you $1200/mo, you'd be spending $600 on drugs and alcohol.
