I hate food. Extreme asceticism has driven me beyond normal human desires.

How about a "Coding With Comrade Lanny" episode, replete with a showcasing of your excellent taste in music.

BTW, do you have any Marxist clothing? Like a shirt or hat you wear for your own guilty pleasure? It would be a nice touch. Like Tacho's hat.

That was actually where the cooking video started, was talking to a friend about live streaming programming. Mixed feelings on the idea, I could see a target audience in learners, there might be some value in watching someone else working through issues in the production of code rather than just reading the final product, and there's some precedent for it. Personally I don't have any interest in watching someone else code though, so I don't think it would be fun beyond just however much fun the programming is, which probably won't be that high since you'd have to pick things that would be digestible to a novice.

Also I normally work with a lot of screen real estate (either two 2560 x 1440 or two 4K displays, sometimes with the lid display going as well) which poses logistical difficulties. My usual setup would either produce huge or poor quality recordings, and playback on a standard 1080 display is going to be shitty. The solution is just to work on a single 1080 display but that's a pain in the ass.

But it kinda got me thinking about wether or not I could talk for an hour or whatever, I thought I'd probably run out of material pretty quick, so after some drinks I figured I'd give cooking a go.

I would commit suicide if I looked one tenth as bad as you do.

    You look developmentally disabled.

    weak response.

BTW this is a cooking thread, if you just want to weakly attempt to insult me do it somewhere else.

What about just rambling about the beauty you see in coding? The aspects that seem most important and profound to you, the potential benefit to society, future trends etc. Attempt to sell it to someone who's unfamiliar with the topic and has the impression that it's dull as hell.

warning: there's zero editing in there and when the food processor goes on you will be deafened if you don't turn your volume down.

Ayy Lanno excellent choice of dish. It really appeals to the (alleged" Paki in me. Are you a fan of spinach?

Yee, I do. I once started making eggs benedict but got too hungry part way through and ended up just eating the seasoned spinach and it was pretty dope.

Just in case you're interested, saag refers to the leafy part of any given vegetable (usually a root). Paalak = spinach. Paalak paneer is a subset of saag paneer, as paalak is a saag. So you're right, this is both.

On subject though, you should make pakoray (this fried crispy dish) with spinach. Onion and potato pakoray are even better, actually. Eat them with a good hari chutney (hari = green) by dipping it in.

    Here's my chutney recipe:

1 bunch of cilantro (no specific measure here, I just put in a big bunch)

    4 cloves of garlic

4 chopped chillies (this can be adjusted to your spice tolerance but I like 4-5 big serranos)

    1 spoon of cumin seeds

A tablespoon of ginger paste, or about an inch to half and inch of ginger root

    1 spoon of olive oil

    1 spoon of water

    1/2 spoon of salt

Throw all this shit in a blender, run it till it's a not-quite-smooth paste.

    👌👌👌👌
