You can think of the complete timeline of our universe as a single point. Whether something happens now or if it happens later is of no consequence. Eventually entropy will erase everything like it never even happened. Everyone will be dead within ~1 googol years and there’s nothing that can stop that. So it might as well have already happened. We’re just like an echo of an already dead universe.
It’s like when you jump into a black hole once you cross the event horizon it doesn’t matter what your trajectory is or what actions you take, all possible paths lead to a single outcome. Just take comfort in that I guess, it’ll all be gone eventually
