We have a few of those as well- take one leave one stations in people's yards. It's nice to live somewhere where they can stay up for years and don't get vandalized or taken advantage of.
Other than that, I rarely see a modified mailbox around here. Other than Faggot Carl down the street who has a mailbox of a fully erect black cock. -

I'm gonna go ahead and defend Bill Krozby here, in that I don't think he literally meant they are MAILBOXES he was simply pointing out that they exist, and they often times happen to resemble a mailbox. That wasn't that difficult to see, really, like, at all. -
