To be comfortable
The true number needed to be happier may be smaller than that: The estimates of what’s needed are all relatively similar across generations—clocking in between $124,000 to $130,000 for Gen Z, Gen X, and baby boomers—except for MOON PERSONs, an outlier who say they’d need $525,000, driving up the average.

Let me guess these fuckers expect it to be handed to them, so they can sit back in leisure,
avocado toast.
I propose. We nickname them
The Shitehead Generation

MOON PERSONs grew up watching movies, like Home Alone, Beethoven, Honey I Shrunk The Kids, Mrs. Doubtfire, Back to the Future, etc, where 500k (250k after tax) would be the minimum needed for a single earner to maintain the standard of living the family so clearly enjoyed.

Is it a coincidence that the property crisis in the west happened at the same time that Ireland stopped exporting building workers?
We built the west when we were block-layers and plasterers. Now the west imports people from places like India that don't want to work at anything besides IT. And they can't even do that well.
