They basically bulldozed all modern cities to make room for parking lots and garages and wider roads, in the postwar era. Our cities are made for cars to live there not people.
I like having a car and going where u want but wtf is the point when you get to the city and it’s $30 to stow it in a garage or $6 an hour on the street, if you can even find any open spots. I’d rather fuckin walk or take the non-existent public transpo. Places like Jew York even have parking spots for sale for hundreds of thousands of dollars that’s how insane it’s become.
There’s this idea lately that having “walkable” livable cities is some kind of socialist movement or whatever, but I think it’s just common sense. Modern civilization really sucks ass
