There's a book on this subject I really want, but I don't like physical and would prefer not to pay for it. May just suck it up if I don't find something superior. I was aware of this quite some time ago, but it doesn't seem available in digital format, pirated.

on a related note...my observations, though not complete, on women who ive known personally who specifically 'target' men already in a relationship, give me the impression there is a similar psychological motivation involved. that being not the desire to attract and hold a mate...but the intent to take one away from another woman. cucking in reverse, so to speak.
hardcopy books are great as far as I'm concerned. gives me something to real while im dropping the Cosby kids off at the pool. that's why I still buy magazines. -

There actually is a reason for this! Although it's not reverse cucking, it's a sort of verification process. Essentially, if a man is in a relationship there's already someone who has vouched for whether he's worthy to have attracted anyone at all, involuntary celibacy being far more common among men.

The main gist of the study I recalled is that they showed heterosexuals pictures of the opposite gender and had them rate their attractiveness, then others were told that some people were in a relationship, they accounted for various factors, and processed the data. Only women showed a significant increase in their ratings for the opposite sex who they were told was in a relationship, and IIRC it may have been as much as a 20 point increase in the percentage of women who stated they found someone attractive.
Human nature is horrendous.
