this is the US' milquetoast attempt to defuse the situation. it's not going to work. it's too weak a gesture for the AXIS and too much like an admission of weakness for the J'EWS.
I don't think it really matters to them at this point; they're of the belief that israel as a state is done, it's just a matter of whether they flatten Gaza in the meantime.
