Sad article from start to finish if true. I hadn't heard of the 2 Tajiks who were conscripted then heard an officer "insult" their religion then grab a machine gun and kill 15 soldiers before being killed themselves. How do 2 people kill 15 with 1 machine gun? Was the other guy just offering encouragement? The claim that they insulted Islam would have to come from a survivor or witness and it's difficult to see them speaking openly in the aftermath but ppl do be talking crazy on smellagram
Really emphasizes the demographic issues Russia faces and how intent it is on a uniform Slavic identity. You can't have it both ways buddy. Citation: everywhere -

Dunno if it's true. He may even just be at the "lets see how far I can push this joke" stage.
hes backed himself into a corner like hitler did.
his choices are now either ending it honorably like hitler, or horribly like mussolini. -

that article reads extremely j'ewish; they don't directly say they're talking about illegal immigrants until like 2/3 of the way through. giving illegal immigrants the option of military service instead of instant jail/deportation doesn't really seem like a problem to me -
2023-11-01 at 1:33 PM UTCand while I don't doubt that sometimes they're treated poorly, Putin's policies in particular have been directed far more at the 'racist right wing' than Muslims. Chechens and Dages have been some of the most enthusiastic about joining up to fight

I forgot to mention it talked alot about how Russian documents are "impossible" to prove to be 100% legitimate, saying that's by deliberate design. Lol how tf does that make sense? The Russian state designed their citizenship papers to be as sketchy as possible? It mentioned both legal and illegal immigrants and the Grey area they have being exploited. It started off talking about a Russian pop star who apparently also has ukranian citizenship. Al Jazeera honestly does a whole lot of Muslim victimization like every article. I think the overall picture is that Russia is taking in alot of migrants that their economy could use during a demographic crisis (the article was sure to mention several times) and exploiting their fragile citizenship status to send them to the front lines.
The image of SWAT teams raiding "prayer houses" during Jummah to force compulsory military service is kinds crazy. They're saying Muslims are the kind of fighters they want and respect in the country and they would want to do it anyway so give them a gun and give em hell boys. The problem is that
A) they'll be killed and the rest of their family in the country will become the lowest tier of immigrants
B)they'll return briefly and be pissed and dip to the next country that will take them
C)they'll return invigorated with Russian nationalism and live the Russki dream
It just seems like another move out of desperation that you don't do unless you're trying to exhaust all options. I'll give it to them that's some out of thinking but I don't think it's a net benefit -

I don't know, but looking at the writer's other articles I don't think he's being entirely truthful -

if it were possible to independently verify the claims in the article it wouldn't matter, but as the saying goes, there's no such thing as an ex-spook -
2023-11-01 at 2:17 PM UTCwhen you have become initiated you wont even have to read to know something is pure propaganda.

OK I thought it was pretty dramatic tbh and it definitely sought to stoke that imagery and I see why now -
