Only the wealthy will get to pick the top tier android shells of course, you'll probably be a toaster for eternity.
lmao
There's no point uploading yourself to an android shell. The only way of doing this that is even remotely sensible is an idea that I've only seen in one place before: a really fucking cheesy movie called Gamer from 2009. Spoilers ahead for a kind of old not really well-known movie, but the twist at the end is:

That said we probably will have the option to upload ourselves to a shell. Why? Because what I said is non-intuitive. It's not going to be "rich people getting the best quality shells", it's going to be the elites getting to actually not die by way of the aforementioned method, while everyone else dies and leaves behind digitized copies of themselves - to serve as eternal slaves.

this poll kind of reminds me of a poll I SEENT on youtube the other day with poker asking
would you rather be able to go back 5 seconds in time whenever you wanted
or be able to read minds and know everyone's hands at all times
the easy obvious answer is to know hands at all times but its fun to see the logic behind people choosing go back in time 5 seconds.
you can make a case for both but definitely choosing knowing all hands at all times is better obviously.
the case for going back 5 seconds is like, if you miss your flush draw or whatever you can just go back and fold
stupid though. you could just never lose if you knew in the first place what the hand was
see what I'm saying?
like I challenge you to somehow convince me that being able to go back 5 seconds in a game of poker is somehow better than knowing what everyone has at all times

I go back 5 seconds, and then I go back 5 seconds, and I go back 5 seconds etc etc - "going back 5 seconds" is really "going back infinitely in 5 second increments". After our hands are revealed, I can just go back to when the cards were dealt with not only knowledge of people's hands, but how everything else about the game will develop. Not only is this better for poker, it is a downright god-tier super power.
(Obviously this is cheating and if you can really just go back 5 seconds but arbitrarily only once per hand for whatever reason then yeah that's kinda not great compared to knowing everyone's hands. Although, that said, even with some arbitrary cap on it, 5 seconds has way more non-poker utility so it's kind of better to pick for that reason. But if all we care about is poker, and with all the arbitrary restrictions in place that make it obviously worse than the other thing, then yeah: it's obviously worse. )

On a related note: how does "going back and fixing all my problems" work? Because like, if we're just talking "my adult consciousness gets beamed back to my 5 year old body", fuck dude: one of my problems is I don't have 10 million dollars, and my knowledge of bitcoin's future existence, 9/11, the iPhone, etc are going to make me RICH AF (yes, that's right, I'm not stopping 9/11 - I'm making sure we're short United and letting 'er rip as before).

Goddamn that was a really good argument. But is it superior to knowing all hands? Like I get what you're saying oh huehue you can just keep going back but no. You can't keep doing more 5 seconds. Just once per hand. Fuck. I'm backtracking to make my own argument that isn't even an argument. How do you do this?
You are one of the funniest smartest people I've ever met HTS. I'm derailing the shit out of this thread but you teally are.
But honestly in terms of winning, knowing all hands at all times, you would know when to do anything. Of course rewinding 5 seconds helps but yeah you can't rewind more than 5. Fuck you I get it. Fuck you

Red, I'm only 19 I don't have enough mistakes to go back and fix to justify passing up 10 million.
