So if every religion is wrong, how do we know god? How do we foster a relationship with god if no one teaches us how to do that? How do we earn his favor? By being “good”? Who decides what’s good and bad? By belief? Belief in what, since we can’t trust religions?

He was ethnically jèwish but not practicing. He was agnostic I’m pretty sure, which is the only correct theological position

Creation itself proves God is real. There's no way the intricate, functional and perfect system came about by chance. Zero percent chance.

There’s plenty of explanations for that. One theory I lean towards is that what we live in right now is a single bubble universe within an infinite plane of spacetime that just stretches out forever in all directions.

The origin of this universe is probably from the quantum fluctuations that underly our reality. At any given point in spacetime there’s a nonzero chance of energy spontaneously just popping into existence from seemingly nothing. I believe this phenomena may be woven into the fabric of spacetime itself and exists everywhere.

So in this endless tapestry of existence, sometimes these random fluctuations crescendo into a single point and basically blast an entire universe into being. This probably happens throughout all of reality an infinite number of times, but so far apart from each other that these bubble universes rarely if ever interact with each other due to the vast distances involved.

The initial conditions of each bubble may affect the local fundamental “laws” of each universe that is birthed. There may be universes where the fundamental forces of nature are such that stars never form, or some that are so energetic they just continually blast apart. We happen to live in one where these forces are balanced in a way for stars to exist, for planets to exist, for life to exist.

I like to think of this as a kind of natural selection of universes. In the universes where life isn’t possible, there is no one there to pontificate on these questions. But in this one life is possible, that’s why we’re here, and that’s why we can think about why we’re here.

Anyways this is just one theory there’s plenty of other explanations that don’t include gods

Random conditions can't account for the intricate and intelligent design we see all around us, in every place we look, from the sight and smell of a rose to the mathematical mechanics of the quantum world. The design of our world itself denies random chance. It brings the equation to a condition of zero percent chance.

Yeah I already talked about that, whatever faggot god is fake

Although I have wondered if it was possible for a person to manipulate these quantum fluctuations artificially, and if someone did that and created a universe, would that person be a god? What if that’s all our universe is, is something created entirely by some being from some other universe that made this one after theirs ended

Thinking everything we see in our world came about by chance is like walking through the woods and discovering a 100 million dollar mansion, walking in to see the ivory statues, the cathedral ceilings, the stately furniture, the magnificent paintings, the artistic tapestries, the marble floors, the majestic staircases, and thinking it all just got there by itself over billions of years. The wood, marble, art, statues and staircases just collected itself over time and built itself into a mansion. Only a complete and utter fool would think something like could ever happen, no matter what the theory, no matter what the conditions.

You just lack the imagination to picture what an infinite universe truly means. Any highly unlikely thing, so unlikely that the odds are near infinite to one, will happen an uncountably infinite number of times in such a reality.
  16. #36
So the odds that it could happen randomly is actually a certainty

^this is an event that has occurred an infinite number of times

With millions of years of scientific progress, and the required knowledge, one could easily design and create an entire universe in another dimension and run it all remotely by computer. It would be a matrix. The question isn't can it be done, it can, the question is can you control it in such a way that it survives. Would you have the wisdom to design it in such a way that it's beneficial, a positive, something worth creating. Because you could create a universe, but once you put humans in it, with free will, the equation becomes much more complex and subject to unpreventable self-destruction.

So you’ve just admitted that it’s possible there is no omnipotent god, just some nerd playing with a reality-machine

There's only one entity who has fully demonstrated he created it all, and that's God. Nobody else has the knowledge or the wisdom right now to pull it off.
