Canada's forcing any streaming platform (including social media) that distributes video, podcasts etc. to register with CRTC so that their content can be controlled, including forcing them to distribute a quota of 'indigenous content'. the only exemptions listed are for platforms that distribute games (not games streams, twitch and co. are not exempt) or audiobooks.2. Offer broadcasting content
streaming services;
social media;
subscription television services available online;
radio stations that live stream over the Internet;
podcasts (free or paid subscription); or
unique transactions that allow the user to stream or download content.Excluded revenue
providing video game services;
providing audiobook services; and
broadcasting activities by traditional services exempt from holding a licence.
initially this applies only to platforms generating over $10million CAD revenue annually, but they're planning on expanding it to all streaming platforms in the future. -

They were mostly visual though and worked because it exclusively targeted stupid French people. The tiktok ones seem socfake and forced but the outtakes from just for laughs where they bug a biker who beats their heads in would be so beautiful to see -
