Blade Runner was the greatest film of all time.

2017-05-30 at 4:47 AM UTCThe criticism I'll offer of blade runner is that, in climax, it presents itself as a moral conflict between two characters, Roy and Deckard wherein Roy wins. This is a pleasing reversal, especially in tandem with
but the reveal is as much that the film culminates in this particular conflict as Roy emerging the victor. We see little of Roy in the early film, hardly know he exists as a discrete character until further in. What ends up being the central conflict of the film doesn't really even become clear until the moment it's resolved. To some degree the movie's most interesting character feels inserted somewhat late in the game, perhaps an inevitable consequence of sorting algorithm of evil type setups but nonetheless present here. -

No, no, we don't really have a culture of bullying newcomers. If you make a positive contribution to the site you're perfectly welcome here, and it already seems like you'll fit in.
I have to be honest, though, this is place is pretty depressing, in a way. Pretty much everyone here is fucked up in some way and clinging to a memory, a shadow of past experience, the only community they've ever really felt a part of. There's really no other reason anyone is still here after all these years. -

Yeah, what malice said. Director's cut is pretty unambiguous about it and general consensus among the fandom (I mean for whatever that's worth, we get into philosophical territory there) is that the director's cut is the canonical source. To be honest I'd be pretty skeptical of a critic trying to make commentary on any other version, both because the popular response and because I think that's the strongest formulation of the film. -

I watched that Gattaca a few years ago. it's pretty decent. I don't think anyone will agree it's better than many other Sci-Fi. it was just two brothers battling over ego
