Because I'm an unattractive guy. I have to be extra careful that I do not send them the wrong signals as women judge unattractive men harsher. For instance, they might think I'm interested in them if I socialize with them. By not sitting with them or talking to them, I can avoid a situation where they have such ideas. Or I assume they simply don't want me to talk to them because I'm ugly.
Another reason is because guys are toxic and want to compete with the other guys in the class. That often means making fun of other guys, hoping the women will laugh. Therefore the atmosphere will be different as well.
I mean, you can make them laugh without resorting to such tactics. Take me for example, last Friday, I made the girls in my class lol hard a few times without trying to be funny or clowning on anyone. They were laughing because of the story I was telling after the teacher asked us all to introduce ourselves. I don't even remember what I said. I'm forgetful. -

Congratulations on getting your associate's degree! And thank you. Unfortunately, I can't pick the amount of classes I have in a semester but luckily for me, I have a day off, so I go to school for four days only. My coding class is optional, apparently but I decided I will go anyway. Otherwise I could have two days off and three days college, but I think it's better to just.. you know, go there, be present and do my best, you know? Although I've come down with the cold so I'm gonna take the first two days off. I also haven't slept at all tonight and I've been awake for over 25 hours now although it's only 4pm. I got a sore throat and a stuffed nose so that made sleeping impossible. Oh well. -

I definitely notice the discrepancy when I hear them talk. They're talking about expensive brands, parties/festivals, working out, etc. I guess it makes sense, since they're zoomers and I'm a millenial. -

Thank you! I do wonder in which way I would possibly contribute to a hostile academic environment? I'm asking not because I plan on doing contributing to it, but because I want to see if I'm already guilty of doing that. Having said that, I think my college is a welcoming environment to women: we have a bunch of female teachers and so is the head of the department. That, and guys like to socialize with them. -

I'm all new to this. I started with discrete mathematics and coding this semester and you're right, it's definitely difficult for me. I have no clue what to do. We are currently learning to code in Python and seeing everyone else knowing what to do makes me feel dumb but it's ok. I won't let it discourage me. Although coding class is optional to attend and it won't hold me back from going into the second year, I still plan on going to that class and just learn it. I actually don't find it boring at all, I rarely get bored - if ever. That's what being a NEET for nearly a decade has helped me with haha.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

it's always most difficult to learn the first programming language because the logic you have to use is different from the kind of logic you know. once you understand how the program flows, ie. where it starts and ends, how you move through it etc., it becomes a lot easier to learn other languages in the future. try to focus more on working out how the program fits together than worrying about remembering the different functions and stuff you can use at first.
the other big thing you'll need to learn about is how databases work, mostly relational.
I'd recommend figuring out how to set up an AWS instance (there's a low-usage free tier for EC2 at least) and deploying Linux + MySQL + Python to experiment. it'll take a lot of tinkering to get there but once you can that's most of the basics down and you can get into the actual data analysis, which is the main marketable skill -

If you don't want or don't think the females should be there it can come across in your body language/tone of voice toward them etc. There's a lot of subtle things that can make them feel unwelcome, such as STEM posters which target men. It's your vibes.

but how the fuck because there are BBS softwarez that can do it with turbo pascal, i have the file somewhere. GPT is somewhat okay at translating pascal to stuff like C or python.
i'm sure theres a library you could use to interact with modems and virtual modems and different connections already i just haven't looked into it. If you type "fax" into library search all that comes up is API's for paid online fax services which would be cool to hack one of those or something -
